All of the major Ocean Carriers operating on the Australian and New Zealand trade lanes ex the UK & NWC are now announcing General Rate Increases (GRI's) wef 1/10/08, along with changes to the BAF levels (fuel surcharges) and Terminal Handling Charges (THC's) too.
Every Carrier is different in that they are all now introducing and indeed charging their own levels of BAF and THC - and the currencies involved vary too from Sterling to the Dollar to the Euro.
Some Carriers are also looking at introducing a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) on this trade lane.
