H M Revenue & Customs are withdrawing the TURN system from 30th June and replacing it with the EORI (Economic Operator Registration and Identification) scheme from 1st July 2009.
Any company in possession of a TURN should automatically receive an EORI number; Customs will be notifying those companies qualifying automatically from April 1st, at which time a 'dual running' period will commence.
