A number of carriers on the Far East to Europe trade, have announced an Emergency Fuel Surcharge to be implemented in July over and above the GRI already announced.
As carriers now set their own tariffs, the surcharges vary from line to line, but generally are between US $55 and US $161 per 20ft. The indications are that as freight rates are restored, lines will once again quote BAF & CAF separate to the freight, as was the case for many years.
