The European Commission has issued a new legislation updating restrictions imposed in 2005 on certain products originating in the USA. The original legislation imposed a 15% ad valorem additional Customs duty on these imports, with effect 1st May 2005.
The products on which additional duties are to apply are identified in the new regulation by their eight digit CN codes. The full text is available via the EC website via the following link Eur-Lex. The new rates will apply from 1st May 2010.
